First I want to say that I love Greek Mythology and I especially love it in my romance! Im not an expert by far but I do enjoy it. I've waited a long time to read this book and I was not disappointed. It was fantastic. I laughed a lot, cried and got really mad at the characters. This book was surprisingly an emotional roller coaster and I did not expect it to get so serious.Hera
Abstinence
Persephone
Nyx
Demeter
This is a story about 5 Goddess on Ambrosia Lane and told from their point of view. Hera is the experienced and manipulative Goddess. Abstinence is the new Goddess on the block who is innocent but wise. Persephone is the spoiled Godling who's trying to find herself and stand on her own. Nyx is the BFF Goddess you can talk to about anything. Demeter is the bitter Goddess who blames everyone else for her misery.
Throw some hot Gods into the mix and you've got yourself a recipe for steamy sex scenes, good humor and a downright fabulous story. I have to be honest and say that I did not like Hera through out most of the book. My girl Kay Dirty Girls' Good Books’ absolutely loved her but I just wanted to punch her in the throat. Hera is one of those characters you love to hate. Or, I love to hate.
I loved the few references to Kansas and Missouri. It's always nice to hear your hometown mentioned in books. It doesn't happen very often since I'm right in the middle of the US. Believe it or not but Kansas and Missouri just aren't that exotic.
Overall, I loved it. The sex was good and didn't overshadow the story. The humor was great and I had some real laugh out loud moments. The characters have depth and emotion that will knock you off your rocker. And finally the story is fantastic and will keep you guessing. DeWylde has a new fan!

I am in love with this series. I started the series with Ares but had to go back and purchase the first two books. I have to say I understand and appreciate the 3rd book much more now that I have read the first two.
Oh Em Gee, I love love these characters and Saranna's reimagining of the Greek Gods. I was reading at 2 am and woke up my toddler from all my snickering at the characters shenanigans. And oh my does Saranna write a great swoon-worthy hot sex scene with Gods who are really all that.
This book is one for my favorites shelf!!
They title gives just a hint of the wit of Saranna, and the story doesn't fail. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments mixed in with some nicely done sex scenes. Would it be too contrite to admit that I cried, too? The emotions that were written were true and well done. Not once did Saranna drop the ball as she juggled the characters of Hera, Demeter, Persephone, Nyx, and the new goddess on the block, Abstinence. Each heroine had a distinct voice that drew you along. And her heroes. *Sigh* Hades must be my favorite, with Thatanos (Death) a very serious rival. I seem to have a thing for bad boys...Eros is sweet and romantic, but not a doormat; Apollo is a nurturing tough guy; and Zeus is the egotistical macho man we have all learned about, but there's a very good reason for it.
Funny, romantic, and sexy, this is a great romp through Olympus that has a very happy ever after.
I purchased this book, along with the other two in the series. I read a lot of books, and generally will force myself to finish a book, even if I don't like it. I couldn't make it past page 80.
There just wasn't a whole lot I could like with this book. The characters were poorly written, the dialogue lacked depth, and the sex scenes were just crude, as epitomized by the slang terms used to describe the female anatomy.
If the author's intent was to write a book that was as shallow, drama-filled, and unimaginative as a t.v. Reality show, then she succeeded. And if you like watching Reality T.V., then you will love this series. It's too reminiscent of The Real Wives of...
To start with, I'm a 30-something straight male who writes "epic horror" and reads pretty much anything that's NOT romance. None of this matters, as I found myself utterly captivated by the tale spun out here. A Post-Mythic roller coaster of cosmic sex and divine humor, DeWylde has obviously been blessed by the Muses.
I must have bookmarked at least a dozen spots that had me literally laughing out loud, everything from a wonderfully witty turn of phrase to more ridiculously complex situations. Some of the in-jokes are especially gratifying to anyone who may actually be well-versed in Greco-Roman Mythology. It's a treat to see what DeWylde's imagination has cooked up for this Pantheon in modern day, and even more genius the sly twists of wackiness.
This is not to say the book isn't steamy. Oh, these Gods and Goddesses DO like to get dirty, but never at the expense of plot or character development. Even a black-hearted bastard such as myself found a certain scene between Thanatos and Persephone to be unbelievably hot. The mythological "cannon" of these characters and their carnal exploits are hard enough to keep straight, but DeWylde paints each uniquely and with contemporary style.
Sure, someone like myself would have added in a few nice scenes of bloodshed and mayhem, but I can honestly say that the "Happily Ever After" found here will speak to a wide range of readers looking for something fun, sexy and fresh. And when we find Artemis spouting lines like, "Did they both have a bowl of stupid for breakfast today instead of ambrosia?", I'm pretty sure DeWylde's novel will speak to a few extra like me as well.
